Lowering your 997 using lowering springs or coilovers is a great way of improving how your 997 drives. A lowered ride height can create bump-steer, which is not desirable as it leads to vague steering and understeer.

Bump-steer occurs after lowering a car. A lower ride height alters the angles at which the steering arms meet the wheel hubs, reducing the range of movement available.  When driving over bumps when cornering, the limited range of movement of the suspension arms causes the front toe angle to change dynamically. This constant changing of front toe creates understeer and very vague steering.

To solve this, we created our Suspension Secrets Adjustable Bump Steer Tie Rod Ends - Porsche 911 997 (inc GT models). Our adjustable tie rod ends allow you to entirely eliminate bump-steer, ensuring your 997 remains confidence inspiring at the limit.

The dynamic benefits of installing our Suspension Secrets Adjustable Bump Steer Tie Rod Ends for the Porsche 911 (997):

  • Removal of bump-steer
  • Improved turn-in
  • Consistent steering accuracy feel and response when driving fast
  • Reduced understeer
